For those of you who don’t know me, I am a successful wife, stepmom and business owner.
I have reinvented myself from a trailer park popcorn girl, customer service operator, to a singer songwriter, to a missionary to a global project manager. Then founded and gave up my role as the CEO of a multi-million dollar management consulting company. So, you see I knew what it was like to have tons of fulfillment with no money and tons of money with relatively little fulfillment.
In 2010, after my mom passed away I went on a quest to find out who had a meaningful AND prosperous work-life AND how did they get there. It wasn’t enough for me to have one without the other.
I’ve completed this quest and found out the 4 main reasons why business leaders don’t have a meaningful AND prosperous profession are:
- You are not Aligned – your inside world does not match what the world sees, hears or knows you to be. You don’t understand your impact on others. Or how you are working against yourself. You are in the wrong profession or business model for your strengths (or superpowers). You do not know your legacy is as a leader.
- You do not have a solid Crew. A Crew are those who are 100% committed to your success as you are committed to their success. You do not play to your own leadership superpowers within your own Super team of whom you can rely on to be there for you always.
- You do not make the time for Transformation to occur. You do not create pauses, spaces in your day to work with a mastermind group or a business leadership coach. No new information can come in because you are so busy operating in an old way of thinking. You are too busy getting to your next tactical goal.
- Lastly, you do not have a solid Transition Plan. You do not know how you will develop yourself, your 90-day priority actions, nor your monthly milestones or success measures to get where you want or need to be. Finally, you do not have anyone helping you be accountable nor anyone to celebrate with.
Today I ACTT by working with seasoned leaders who are ready for a new success.
If you keep doing what you are doing you will get what you have always gotten – nothing changes if nothing changes.
